Yes! You can use Coatbase for formula management, job tracking, and inventory without a connected scale. You can manually enter weights during mixing. However, the real-time scale integration is where Coatbase really shines.

Yes. Coatbase automatically creates local backups and can sync to the cloud. For multi-workstation setups, connect to PostgreSQL (works with Supabase, Neon, AWS RDS, Azure, or your own server). You can also manually export your database at any time.

After 14 days, you'll need to subscribe to continue mixing. You'll keep read-only access to view your formulas and history. Subscribe anytime to reactivate full functionality - your data is never deleted.
Yes. Monthly subscriptions can be canceled anytime - you'll retain access until the end of your billing period. Annual subscriptions are non-refundable but you can cancel auto-renewal.

Coatbase checks for updates automatically when connected to the internet. When an update is available, you'll see a notification. All updates are RSA-signed and verified for security before installation. Updates are free with an active subscription.
